Reaching the people who keep production moving
In manufacturing, some of the most important audiences for internal communications are also the hardest to reach. Employees spend their shifts on the plant floor, away from the computers and inboxes that office-based communication depends on. Information needs to reach them where they work.
For Danone, that challenge extended across 13 manufacturing plants in the United States. Its communications team needed to keep frontline employees informed while maintaining a consistent message across locations.
Digital screens offered a way to reach that audience, but managing the content created its own demands. Updates depended on local teams making changes at each site. Every message that needed wider distribution required coordination across plants, making communication slower and less consistent.
Moving beyond site-by-site updates
The requirement was straightforward: give the communications team a way to manage messaging across the plant network without relying on each location to carry out every change.
That meant more than putting information on screens. Danone needed a practical approach to managing content and devices across multiple facilities, with the capacity to support a growing operation. It also needed to fit into the company’s existing internal communications setup, so digital signage could work alongside its other channels.
