Welcome to Screenfluence Academy

I know what you’re thinking – consumers have already seen this content. What’s the point? We always need fresh, new content on our channels to keep customers engaged.

While it’s true that posting the exact same content over and over again won’t get you the results you want, you can easily breathe new life into the content you already have to create something new for different channels.

Let’s see how we can go about doing that!

When you repurpose content you get more mileage out of one piece of content, without having to start from scratch.

Leverage existing assets. For example, content created for past campaigns.

Search your digital asset management system, and identify which appropriate and approved assets fit your current needs.

This eliminates the need to tap your creative team to create something completely new.

We all have that book that sits at the back of the bookshelf.

It’s an old favorite, and when you eventually come across it, you might think to yourself “Hey, I should really read that book about pandas again. It was great.”

It might be months or even years before you stumble upon that old treasure.

Repurposing your existing content puts that old favorite front and center, ensuring that great content is never forgotten.

If you’ve watched our previous video, (pssst, if you haven’t, you should go check it out after this one), you know how existing user-generated content might be the perfect source of high-quality and authentic assets.

Repurposing and displaying social content means you don’t have to wait or waste resources on a specific photo or video shoot.

Having unlimited access to high-quality, on-brand imagery, video, and commentary gives you a fighting chance at keeping up with consumer demand.

You might wonder, but what content deserves a new lease on life?

Make sure to choose content that’s not outdated. Only repurpose evergreen content, AKA content that continues to be valuable and relevant over several months (or ideally years).

Do you have content that is largely relevant and evergreen, except for a few outdated references? Repurpose those suckers and give them a stylish new makeover and you’re all set!
We know that to stay relevant in the minds of customers and in the competitive landscape, you need to create more quality content, quicker than ever before.

Fresh content that supports your company’s communication efforts is important if you want your viewers to keep coming back.

And there you have it. This is the recipe for creating a delicious mix of old and new content. Use your “secret sauce” of digital signage brilliance wisely.
